Mr. Brendan Casey

Physiotherapist

Brendan’s passion lies in working with his patients to help them live their day-to-day lives by minimizing the effects of acute or chronic injuries.

Brendan has worked in the Illawarra region for several years, during which he has witnessed patients transitioning from severe limitations due to stiff joints and sore muscles to playing with their kids, returning to pre-injury duties, or managing chronic conditions at the best possible level.

Initially starting as a personal trainer, Brendan quickly recognized the negative impact of even minor injuries on a person’s function. Drawing from this experience, Brendan has developed an extensive exercise library tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual for effective rehabilitation. In the early stages, Brendan has observed the immediate positive effects of massage, dry needling, joint mobilization, and taping, among other techniques.

Brendan aims to empower his patients to successfully manage their own conditions and/or long-term rehabilitation. This involves the implementation of specific home exercise programs, group-based exercise classes, and, if accessible, hydrotherapy.

Regularly working with patients from CTP, WorkCover, NDIS, and private sectors, Brendan has treated a diverse range of individuals, from weekend warriors maintaining fitness to high-level strongmen. Although Brendan addresses all areas, he holds a particular interest in hips and shoulders. In the realm of sports, Brendan possesses knowledge spanning various events, with a special focus on combat and water sports.

In his spare time, you can find Brendan training, reading, chasing after his beagle, and enjoying quality time with his significant other.
